19:16:34 From Buddy Hale : Totally. That’s fun.
19:17:04 From Justina Martino : We have so many great smaller cultural nonprofits here that could use more support.
19:20:57 From Justina Martino : I don’t think I can ask Questions in the Q&A so here’s mine: Studio spaces that are affordable and appropriate for artists are extremely rare in Sacramento. Do you have any ideas regarding the creation of more of these spaces for artists?
19:22:08 From Donald Gensler : Not seeing the chat since switching to laptop, but answering the two questions Shira mentioned: 1. We have done a recent audit of our entire collection. By the end of the year, we look forward to launching a GIS searchable link on our OAC website to search our city collection. Additionally, we are adding and editing the current collection on Public Art Archive.
19:24:29 From Midtown Squinter: DG: Does the “audit” include costs, locations, maintenance and was it an internal or external audit?
19:25:50 From Midtown Squinter : Public Art Archive has sooo many errors, and doesn’t seem to differentiate between County and City owned…
19:25:52 From Donald Gensler : It was an internal audit to determine the condition of the artwork and determine what maintenance is necessary. We are also working toward getting the collection back and searchable by the public. Working to get this up before the end of 2024.
19:25:53 From Justina Martino : Yay, as a commissioner thank you!
19:26:27 From Donald Gensler : I totally agree. That is what we are working to solve.
