CO-WORKING & ARTIST COMMUNITY

The Atrium offers affordable work/studio spaces and services via a recurring membership model. Have a good idea for a sustainable future? We will help you start immediately, rapid prototype, and fine-tune or pivot as needed.
Co-working services include print, kitchen, business address, photo studio, conference rooms, marketing and business check ins.

THE RECYCLE CHALLENGE

There’s no universal form of recycling across the country and every city and state has its own regulations and methods that govern how and what it recycles creating an educational challenge for recycling. The Recycle Challenge is a creative educational art exhibit that travels to various events to educate on proper recycling in Sacramento.

OPEN OFFICE HOURS

Open to all regardless of membership, ethnicity, gender or income, offering office hours, one-on-one coaching, grant application reviews and project pitch opportunities to connect local community needs, ideas and activities to resources, contacts and opportunities.

THE NEST

Incubating bright green economy ideas. Identifying local talent, from all backgrounds, nurturing it, and help it get to market. Graduating companies that nested with the Atrium donate a portion of their gross sales back to the Atrium, to continue the cycle of growing more local green economy ventures for a sustainable future for all.

APPRENTICESHIP / MENTORSHIP

12-week program in either Graphic design, Web design, Social Media Strategy, or Video Editing. Applicant is teamed up with an Atrium resident member to produce work in a business client relationship manner. Emphasizing the practice of soft skills like teamwork, collaboration, decision-making, kind problem-solving, time management, setting expectations and critical thinking skills.

CARTS FOR THE ARTS

Art for Change Program. A green economy initiative that pursues sustainable production and consumption, efficient use of resources, and addresses the effects of waste diversion on climate change. Ensuring a fair, just and socially inclusive transition for companies, organizations, and government agencies is of utmost importance to facilitate positive change.

ZERO WASTE EVENT EXPERIENCE

Learn how to produce a zero-waste event and expose your event attendees to sustainable practices. This program hopes to turn event hosts to spread sustainable practices into other traditional locations making zero waste events a standard event request. The Atrium provides affordable event space along with the requirement that the event be eco-friendly as close to zero-waste as possible.

CREATIVE RESOURCE BANK

A “materials for the arts” program that collects supplies, equipment, furniture and other goods for artists and creatives to use for free or at a reduced cost.

UPCYCLE POP

UpcyclePop is an interactive eco holiday market for artistically repurposed and upcycled art, furniture, fashion, home design, and inventions. Watch artists create works of art from discarded items, experience intimate live performances, drink for a good cause and play with the interactive art installations. Knowing it is impossible to indefinitely run a linear system on a finite planet, we experimenting with circular economy principles: Remake, play, shop, eat and get creative.
